I had a decent stay at the Templar Hotel, which is nicely located in the Entertainment District and close to great breakfast spots. However, the room had a few issues, like a lack of hot water and somewhat dirty windows, which affected my experience. On the bright side, the Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch, and I enjoyed the unique decor overall.
Rooms
6.0
The room was quite unique with hardwood floors and an interesting design, but I was disappointed with the view of a brick wall and the minor cleanliness issues. The bathroom was large but I faced inconveniences with the hot water.
Service
6.0
The staff were decent but not overly friendly. They were helpful when needed, which I appreciated.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was fantastic for exploring downtown, just a short walk to major attractions like the CN Tower. It really made it easy to get around.
Dining
5.0
The dining options around were okay, but I didn't find the hotel's dining experience to be up to par; it lacked variety.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were a mixed bag; the quirky design was fun but the lack of hot water in the morning was a big letdown.

6.2/10
My stay at the Templar Hotel was a mixed bag. While I loved the unique design and excellent location, the service left a lot to be desired. The room had some nice aspects like comfy beds and beautiful linens, but practicality seemed to take a back seat to aesthetics.
Rooms
6.0
The room was visually appealing with floor-to-ceiling windows, but the layout was impractical. The large shower took up too much space, leaving minimal room for toiletries. Plus, street noise made it hard to sleep, especially on busy nights. I also noticed a lack of electrical outlets for charging devices.
Service
6.0
While some staff were polite and tried to help, I had several frustrating interactions with the front desk. They seemed overwhelmed and uninformed, which made getting assistance a challenge.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the Entertainment District and within walking distance to many attractions, shops, and restaurants. I really appreciated being close to everything I wanted to see.
Dining
5.0
I didn’t have a great experience with dining options, as I found the offerings at the hotel to be mediocre. The nearby bistro was much better for food but I wished for more variety close to the hotel.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent but could use improvement. I enjoyed the Nespresso machine in the room, but the lack of basic tea amenities and the public parking situation made things less convenient. Also, the absence of doormats meant my room got dirty easily.

I had a mixed experience at the Templar Hotel. While the King Suite was spacious and comfortable with nice architectural design, I faced significant issues with noise and maintenance. The staff were friendly but the lack of responsiveness from management regarding my complaints was frustrating.
Rooms
6.0
The King Suite was clean and beautifully designed, but I experienced issues with noise and maintenance. The semi-transparent walls in the restroom area were a quirky touch, but they didn't offer much privacy. Overall, it was comfortable but had its drawbacks.
Service
5.0
The staff were kind and tried their best to accommodate me, although they came across as a bit casual. However, with no follow-up from management after reporting issues, I felt let down in terms of service quality.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the Entertainment District, close to everything I wanted to see. It was convenient for accessing various attractions around the city, which was definitely a plus.
Dining
5.0
I didn’t experience a great dining situation, with mediocre options and missing items. It felt like a missed opportunity given the hotel’s location and expectations.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had charm but needed basic maintenance. Some elements, such as a messy Nespresso station, detracted from the overall boutique experience I was hoping for.

7.0/10
I recently stayed at the Templar Hotel for two nights and found it stylish with a clean, modern aesthetic. However, the unique design elements in the room were often impractical, like the overly marbled bathroom and insufficient lighting. The location was excellent for exploring downtown Toronto, but I did face noise issues from the street and some disappointments with the amenities, notably the TV service.
Rooms
6.0
The room was attractively styled, but the marble decor felt excessive and the shower setup was confusing. Lighting was minimal, making it hard to see at times, and the bed was just a standard double size, which felt less luxurious than expected.
Service
7.0
The staff were pleasant and very helpful, particularly when addressing the issues I had with the TV. However, their knowledge of the local area was lacking, which didn't help me much in planning my stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was excellent, easy to access from Union Station and close to the Rogers Centre, making it great for sightseeing and events. However, being on a busy street meant noise was a constant presence.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were mediocre, with missing items from the menu. It was just an added feature that didn't enhance my experience.
Facilities
6.0
While the Nespresso machine was a nice touch in the room, overall facilities felt a bit lacking and didn’t quite match the boutique hotel vibe I was hoping for.

I had a mixed experience at Templar Hotel. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore downtown Toronto, but the service left much to be desired. While I enjoyed the spaciousness of my suite, I encountered several issues with the room's amenities and cleanliness that dampened my stay.
Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and stylish, but it had some practical flaws like poor water pressure and a lack of electrical sockets. I also found broken glass in the bathroom upon check-in, which was pretty concerning.
Service
5.0
The service was quite negligent at times, with staff not responding to my concerns adequately. When I reported a lost item, the front desk didn't handle it well, and I felt ignored.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was excellent, right in the heart of the entertainment district and close to major attractions and transit lines, making everything highly accessible.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast options were decent, but the selection felt a bit limited. Having a Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch, though.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel facilities seemed a bit dated and could use some updates. The state of the bathroom was particularly noticeable, and the noise levels were disruptive at times.
